A homemade breakfast is available in our dining room from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Guests select their own individual tables each day. A selection of juices (always including orange, grapefruit, cranraspberry, apple, tomato, prune, pineapple, and V-8) is brought to your table. We also serve you a choice of hot beverages such as coffee (regular or decaf), teas (black, green or herbal), and hot cocoa (with marshmallows and/or whipped topping).
The regular breakfast is usually served buffet style and includes a fruit dish, a selection of hot and cold cereals, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cottage cheese, a bread, and the hot entree, which is the chef’s daily selection. We usually alternate the hot entree between a sweet (e.g. French toast, oatmeal pie, kugel) and a savory dish (e.g. quiche, stratas, fritattas). At all times scrambled eggs are available for those individuals who prefer.

Al Fresco Dining
On summer days guests often bring their breakfasts outside to the veranda and enjoy a delicious, healthy meal overlooking the gardens. Before breakfast or after, the porches are perfect places for a cup of coffee (or your preferred beverage), the newspaper and/or friends.
Afternoon provides an opportunity for conversation and relaxation while enjoying a seasonal beverage (hot tea, hot cocoa, mulled locally produced apple cider, iced tea, lemonade, iced coffee) and a deliciously prepared treat. Afternoon “delights” might include brownies, cookies, fruit breads, cheese platter or hot hors d’oeuvres. Indulge while sitting in the parlor chatting with new friends or those with whom you came. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy a winter fireside delicacy; or relax on the veranda watching the sun set as you partake in your afternoon treat.
