Searching For The Moon                                                                                      December 10

For a while now, I’ve been talking about a different kind of Rookwood Rambling. One in which we leave The Rookwood behind and set off for destinations around the country and the world. This weekend will be our inaugural journey. No passports or vaccines needed because our bodies will remain in Lenox, but we will be taken on a journey across three continents beginning with a fully catered Indian dinner followed by a performance by Amber Chand of her one woman show, Searching For The Moon.
Arrive at The Rookwood on Friday or Saturday; spend Saturday enjoying the delightful shops in Lenox and beyond. Pick up last minute gifts for the people on your list in the stores or at The Rookwood. Return to the inn for a aromatic and delicious dinner of authentic Indian food.

Amber Chand

After dinner, step into an evocative evening of inspired storytelling as Amber Chand takes you on a global journey across 3 continents in this acclaimed memoir of her life, where you will be introduced to Indian arranged marriages (her parents met through a photograph), British boarding schools in the 60s, what it feels like to flee from a tyrannical African dictator, mystical encounters with an Indian holy man, the rise and fall of her multi million dollar company…..and more.

Amber brings humor, depth, curiosity, and a fierce love of life through all its triumphs and defeats in this 90 minute performance, one that has received rave reviews from audiences both in the United States and internationally.

One night packages start at $360 for double occupancy and two night packages start at $525. Packages include room, breakfast, afternoon refreshments, dinner, all taxes and gratuities. Limited tickets, for the dinner and program, are available for $85 per person.  Call 413-637-9750 for reservations.
